whirlpool to close factories

In order to bring its major appliances in line with the current consumer demands,whirlpool corporation said last week that it will close manufacturing plants in puebla, mexico and oxford, ms.
Production of cooktops,and wall ovens in oxford will be moved to a plant in cleveland,tn,
750 jobs will be lost in oxford, but 500 will be created in cleveland.
Semiautomatic washing machine production in puebla will be moved to a plant in celaya, mexico,
235 jobs will be lost in puebla,and 140 new ones created in celaya.
This move will be completed by the end of the year,whirlpool promised to help all displaced employees find new employment.
